Lay back, act natural, and let’s take some pictures
This isn’t about a photo session, or even the pictures, it’s about You. Forget about posing and feeling stiff in front of the camera. Imagine going on a walk with an old friend, who just happens to have a camera with them. My process is free and flowy, and my only goal is to capture your true self.
My Approach
After you contact me via the Contact page or through my booking site, we will talk in depth in a video call or in person about what you want out of this shoot. I want to know why you are booking this session and what drew you to booking with me.
I also want to get to know what your aesthetic is and what kind of poses you like or are comfortable with, so I like to make a personalized Pinterest board for each of my clients!
Before the day…
After our session, the editing process starts for me! This entails minor touch ups or lighting adjustments, very minor things just to get the best image!
Before that, however, I will be sending you picks of the best of the best of your photos to choose from. Then from that, I will begin the final touches.
Once I’m finished with that, which is about 1-2 weeks depending on the amount of photos, I will create your final online gallery which you can download the pictures from!
After the day…
I like to create a fun and comfortable atmosphere for each session. This means that while we take photos, I’ll be asking questions to get you comfortable and checking in to make sure we’re doing what you’re wanting. At the end of the day this is your time! I want to be getting the most out of it and will use a mix of traditional posed portraits and candids.
I highly recommend bringing a friend or family member along to get you more comfortable and to have someone that can make you laugh if need be!

Well, each photographer is different and each photo session is different, depending on the type and on the client. With this being said, I have a process which is similar throughout each of my sessions, but I do change some things depending on the session.
I want you most comfortable during the session, so if that means we have to go through some ice breakers or you need to bring a friend, that’s fine with me, just be sure to communicate that first.

Everyone has their own unique style. If you are a senior, wear what you feel most confident and comfortable in. If that’s a t-shirt and blue jeans, then by all means wear that. However, if this is for a more professional setting, I would be sure to dress at least business casual but it all depends on the settng. I will provide a guide for each session going more in depth on this topic when we finish the consoultation

I am! I can travel to most of southwest and central Missouri, but I do charge a travelling fee for areas that are more than 50 miles away.
My main areas I am in outside of Lebanon are Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, Osage Beach, and Camdenton.

As a photographer, I understand that not everyone feels like a model in front of the camera, and that's completely okay! The key to a successful pose is to relax and be yourself. Think about what makes you feel comfortable and confident, whether it's standing tall with good posture, finding a natural stance that feels authentic, or showcasing your personality through subtle movements and expressions.
I'll also provide gentle guidance and direction throughout the shoot to help you feel at ease and capture your best self. Remember, the most beautiful photographs often come from genuine moments and authentic expressions.
